1. Our Story
We wanted our restaurant to pay homage to the history of the Smoky Mountains, and what better way to do that than honoring the memory of a well-known figure? Cumberland Jack isn’t just any historical figure, either. He was the furry companion of Paul Adam, the first caretaker of LeConte Lodge. Jack was a German Shepherd who protected Adam on all of their adventures, and he also helped bring supplies back to the lodge.
2. The Location
One reason you’ll love visiting us is because of our location! Our downtown Gatlinburg restaurant is right on the Strip next to Crockett’s Breakfast Camp, one of our sister restaurants, and the Sugarland Wedding Chapel. We are easy to find, and you’ll love how close we are to your downtown hotel or within walking distance of where you parked!
3. Our Atmosphere
Something else you’ll love about eating with us is the atmosphere. We strive to make our restaurant feel as friendly as Paul Adam did with LeConte Lodge all those years ago. That’s also why we wanted to make it feel like you’re in a mountain lodge with natural wood floors, dark wood tables, exposed wooden beams and lights, and much more. As soon as you step foot into the building, you can get an idea of what to expect and what kind of food we have on the menu!
4. The Food and Drinks
Speaking of food, that’s the best thing about our downtown Gatlinburg restaurant you’ll love! If you find yourself craving classic southern dishes, we are the place to be! Here are some of our favorite dishes you can’t miss:
