Where to Eat in Gatlinburg for 1 Day

The little mountain town of Gatlinburg is a popular vacation destination, and it’s easy to see why! Known as the gateway to the Smokies, downtown Gatlinburg sits right outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so it’s a great place to stay, eat, and explore. When you’re spending a day here, you probably want to have a plan of what to do and where to eat. We can help with that! Here are our recommendations for where to eat in Gatlinburg for 1 day.

1. Crockett’s Breakfast Camp

crockett's breakfast camp signSince we aren’t open for breakfast, you should start the day at our sister restaurant, Crockett’s Breakfast Camp! You can fuel up for the beginning of your day with a stack of their incredible Aretha Frankenstein griddle cakes that are super thick and covered in syrup and butter. If you prefer a sweet pastry to start the day, try their famous cinnamon roll or get it deep fried and covered in caramel sauce! Not a sweet breakfast person? Don’t worry—there’s plenty of savory options! Get a classic platter with griddle cakes, bacon, ham, biscuits, gravy, eggs, and all your other favorites. Or you can branch out and try something new, like their signature pot roast eggs benedict. Crockett’s Breakfast Camp is one of the best places to go for breakfast in Gatlinburg!

2. Cumberland Jack’s

When lunch time rolls around, you don’t want to be left wondering where to eat in Gatlinburg! That’s why there’s no better place to get lunch (or dinner if you prefer!) than with us. Our Gatlinburg restaurant is dedicated to the memory of a furry companion to the man who spearheaded the start of LeConte Lodge. You can enjoy a bucket of rolls and cup of vegetable stew in their honor before you tear into your choice of meatloaf, turkey and dressing, open face pot roast, or one of the many other comfort foods on our menu. When you’re in need of libations, look through our spirits. We have draft beer, a series of cocktails, and wine to choose from. And since we know not everyone wants to partake, we even offer non-alcoholic options like draft soda and floats!

3. Smith & Son Corner Kitchen

They’re known for a modern take on old southern favorites, and you won’t want to miss out! You can’t go wrong with slow cooked ribs covered in house barbeque sauce or deep fried catfish served with fries and coleslaw! If those don’t tickle your fancy, you’ll be glad for the huge selection that includes grilled chicken, chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, steak, and much more!
