5 Fun Things to Do in Gatlinburg Near Our Restaurant
Gatlinburg is full of fun attractions, from outdoor theme parks with incredible views to unique museums you won’t find anywhere else. We know the next time you’re in town, you’ll want to stop by our restaurant and eat with us, but what can you plan to do that’s nearby before or after you eat? We’re here to help you decide what you should do before you visit us with these 5 fun things to do in Gatlinburg near our restaurant:
1. Ober Mountain Aerial Tram
One attraction that’s a short walking distance from us is Ober Mountain’s Aerial Tram. This tram travels along a 2-mile track from downtown Gatlinburg to the Ober Mountain Ski Resort at the top of the mountain. You’ll enjoy a leisurely ride up the mountainside in the tram, with breathtaking views of the Smokies in the distance. This tram is open year round, so you can get a unique viewpoint any time of the year!
2. Gatlinburg Space Needle
If you just can’t get enough views, you’ll want to head over to the Gatlinburg Space Needle! This is a popular thing to do in Gatlinburg. You’ll ride to the top of the tower in an elevator, and once you’re at the observation deck, you’ll be able to see the mountains and downtown Gatlinburg from 360 degrees! This attraction is fun during the day to see as far as you can, as well as at night to enjoy downtown Gatlinburg all lit up!
3. Hollywood Star Cars Museum
Anyone who loves cars or films will want to stop by the Hollywood Star Cars Museum. People of all ages enjoy seeing the actual vehicles used on set of some of their favorite movies and TV shows, like Back to the Future and The Dukes of Hazzard. Visitors can pay a little extra fee to take photos in the car of their choice, but you’ll enjoy seeing all of the vehicles that were actually used in the movies and shows they are from!
4. Gatlinburg Pinball Museum
Another fun thing to do in Gatlinburg is visit the Gatlinburg Pinball Museum. They have all kinds of retro and classic pinball machine games, and your fee to get into the museum covers being able to play all of them! In addition to pinball machines, you’ll find modern games to play as well!
5. Hike the Gatlinburg Trail
If you want to explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, then a great place to go that’s not too far from downtown is the Gatlinburg Trail. The trailhead is within walking distance of our restaurant, so you could come eat with us before or after your hike! This trail is considered easy, and it’s one of the only pet friendly trails in the park! It has a round trip length of 3.8 miles, and you’ll enjoy wooded views, crossing the Little Pigeon River, and remains of homesteads.
